This is an amazing piece!  The fact you did it using a mouse is even more testament to your skill.  You really captured that "Gigeresque" feeling with the way the shadows and light interplay so softly, but strikingly.  The way you've added just enough detail to the background to evoke the vertebrae and ribs of the interior of the Derelict, without making it so detailed it distracts the eye from the primary focus.  Both the Alien, and the Space Jockey are well-rendered, but also slightly out of focus in a striking way.  The best word I can ascribe to this moment is "Nostalgia", as if the Alien has returned to dwell on ghosts of the past, to reflect on Genetic "Hive-Memories" on the true nature of this ship and its pilot. Things known only to it.  Perhaps it hopes that one day, its kind will be returned to their beloved home, from which they were cruelly taken by those too arrogant to think of others.  Marvelous work!

The creation sits on top of its dead creator.

now that I see this, the chair looks like the head of the Alien opening his mouth and second mouth.
Also, the Jockey Alien is more big.

The lone alien, born without queen, nor fellow hivemates, nor sustanance, returns to the place of it's "birth".

Does it contemplate the ineviatble, to die alone and forgotten? Can such a thing even be awake to the self? And if so, can it morn it's sad excictance, for the pointless death of the parent\host that brought it into being?

A stunning piece.
